Andy Weidl is a Mount Lebanon native who grew up in Pittsburgh.

He began his career with the Steelers in 1998 as a player personnel assistant under Tom Donahue and Bill Nunn.

Since then, he’s played for the New Orleans Saints and the Baltimore Ravens before joining the Eagles in 2016.

Weidl worked on Super Bowl champions with the Eagles in 2017 and the Ravens in 2012.

Weidl graduated from Villanova in 1996 and played offensive line for the Wildcats.

Andy Weidl, a veteran with 24 years of NFL scouting experience, is in his sixth season with the Philadelphia Eagles and his third as the team’s vice president of player personnel.

Weidl has been instrumental in building rosters that have resulted in three playoff appearances in the last four seasons.

He had worked with his brother, Casey Weidl, with the Eagles until he was fired on May 4 as part of a significant front-office shakeup under general manager Howie Roseman.

Colbert has decided to retire after the 2022 NFL Draft.
