Anthony Futia Of Albany NY Identified As Victim Of Lake Georgia Accident

Anthony J. Futia is a resident of Albany, New York, and the driver of the motorbike that crashed into six pedestrians along the Route 9 bike road and caused two on-site deaths. Find more about the accident and the casualties.

Anthony Futia was riding his bike along Route 9 which falls parallel to the Lake Georgia Expedition Park.  He was headed north on his bike but the overspeeding locomotive just lost its control and track and deviated from the main path. It swiftly changed the main path along the east shoulder of the main road. The east shoulder would lead to a paved bike entry path and it was busy that day.

Futia’s bike collided with the passerby and led to the deaths of two pedestrians at the site while one of the six walkers was admitted to the nearby hospital after sustaining critical injuries.  She was treated for her injuries and is now in a stabilized condition.

Who Is Anthony Futia From Albany NY?

Anthony J. Futia is the driver of the motorbike that crashed at Route 9 near Lake Georgia Expedition Park and led to two deaths and one serious injury. Anthony was overspeeding in his vehicle as per initial reports and he swayed away from the main road after losing control of his bike, thereby crashing it into the group of six pedestrians who were just entering the paved bike path, along the east shoulder of the main highway, where Anthony’s bike deviated its path.

As per early reports and an investigative lead file, the motorcycle traveled north on National Highway 9 at high speed, heading the eastern shoulder of the road toward the paved bicycle lane and colliding with a group of six pedestrians standing at the entrance to the bicycle lane. The group consisted of three adults and three children. The three children were unharmed but two of the three adults lost their lives at the crash spot.

Details On Lake Georgia Accident And Casualties Update

The State Police has now released the investigation lead report through their official Newsroom and press release. The two adults who had their sad demise at the crash site were identified as James A. Parsons, age 38, at the crash site of Lake George, and Quinton P. Delgotet, 8, also on Lake George.

Another pedestrian on Lake George, Jasmine Lueren, 30, was rushed to the Albany Medical Center and treated for her external injuries. She is now in a stable condition. The three children in the pedestrian group were not injured or harmed in any way. Motorcyclist Anthony J. Futia, 33,  the driver of the crash, was admitted to the hospital’s emergency ward for major and serious injuries. Investigation into the crash is underway.

State Police Investigates And Reports On The Lake Georgia Crash

State Police and the NYPD are currently investigating the crash details, the driving factor, and the casualties details of the fatal accident.

There have been some preliminary but unjustified reports and claims about the driver Anthony Futia’s attendance in the local Adirondack Park Festival, which was visited by many in motorbikes and cars. Lake George is a city in the Adirondack Mountains in northern New York. The festival vibe of ‘Americade’ is ever strong, which happens to be the currently extant week-long festival at Adirondack Park. The celebration was from June 7 to June 11 and it was filled with motorbike stunts, daredevil acts, excursions, and much more.
