Directed by Daryl Wein, the movie stars Zoey and Kendrick in the lead roles. The film follows Zoey’s character Rachel Meyer who accidentally sends an engagement ring meant for someone else to Ethan. 

As their fate collides, Rachel and Ethan began to realize that they were meant to be together.

Kendrick Sampson parents Daphne Smith Sampson and Hoyle Sampson Sr. have separated. However, it’s not confirmed if they are legally divorced or not as Kendrick’s mother Daphne still goes by his father’s last name.

The former couple’s separation was confirmed when Daphne updated her relationship status as “single” in her Facebook bio.

Later, via a Facebook status on August 2, 2019, Sampson mentioned that she was in a relationship but refrained from revealing her partner’s name.

Kendrick’s father Hoyle Sampson Sr has, meanwhile, remained off the public eye and very few details about him are currently available.

Hoyle and Daphne got married nearly 38 years ago on December 15, 1984; the wedding was held in Harris County, Texas. Daphne was 32 years old at the time of her marriage in 1984.

While Daphne is a Caucasian woman, Hoyle Sr is African-American. Due to his parents’ diverse backgrounds, Kendrick proudly flaunts his biracial heritage.

Kendrick Sampson Mother Worked With Xerox For Over 36 Years

Actor Kendrick Sampson’s mother Daphne Sampson has been a hard-working woman all her life.

She started working for Xerox on September 15, 1975. She was a loyal and devoted employee of the company for over 36 years before retiring on December 31, 2011.

In her retirement post which she shared on Facebook, Daphne mentioned that she was looking to spend more time with her friends and family. However, she didn’t remain retired for a long time.

After less than a month of retiring from Xerox, she got a new job with the energy company Baker Hughes, Inc. in January 2012. She worked for the company as a business consultant for over seven years before officially quitting in September 2019.

Daphne hasn’t taken up a new job after leaving Baker Hughes. She appears to be spending more time with her sons after retiring from a career of more than four decades.

Sampson, who is originally from Port Arthur, Texas, is currently 70 years old. She resides in Missouri City, Texas, and is enjoying a happily retired life.

Kendrick Sampson Has Three Brothers In His Family

Kendrick Sampson has three brothers in his family, named Jayden Sampson, Quinton Sampson, and Hoyle Sampson Jr.

Hoyle Sampson Jr, who is the eldest child of his parents, resides with his wife and daughter in Houston, Texas. An Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Incorporated alum, he has also worked for the  US Marine Corps. 

Kendrick’s second brother Quinton Sampson is an upcoming musician from Texas. He is best known for his appearance in the Netflix karaoke singing contest Sing On. He has released an EP titled Heartstrings and is set to release his new single “Pressure” soon.

Likewise, the Fashionably Yours actor’s youngest sibling is named Jayden Sampson. Jayden is still young and is yet to start a professional career. 

Back in June 2022, Daphne revealed an interesting fact about her sons Quinton and Jayden via Facebook. Coincidentally, the siblings, who were born years apart, have the same birthday. 

Although Jayden and Quinton are not twins, their birthday falls on the same day, i.e. June 11.
