The Beta Squad is a group of five England-based Youtubers known for making comedic videos on their collective channel.

The five members are:

• Niko Omilana
• Chunkz
• Aj Shabeel

• KingKennyTV

Chunkz, Aj Shabeel, and Snarky are all of Somali descent. On the other hand, KingKennyTV and Niko are of Nigerian descent.

The boys are known for their comedic videos and very British humor. Their collective channel on Youtube has amassed 4.02 million subscribers as of the writing of this video.

Their influence has moved past Youtube as their content has been shared on different sites, expanding their audience.

The History Of The Beta Squad

The beginnings of the Beta Squad can be traced back to collaborations done by Chunkz and Sharky.

In 2015, Chunkz and Sharky started making videos together and collaborating regularly. The fans responded well to their chemistry and kept at these collaborations.

Aj Shabeel was Chunkz cameraman back in those days. Soon enough, he appeared in Chunkz and Sharky’s videos a few weeks later. At this time, Niko and Kenny were already making videos on their channels. They had collaborated a few times as the two were friends.

Niko met Chunkz in 2016, and then the two started collaborating. Through these collaborations, all five future members of the Beta Squad became friends.

Through their friendship, all five ended up collaborating here and there. Soon enough, the boys’ chemistry became so apparent that they knew they had to create something together. To that end, the Beta Squad was born.

In 2019, the group moved into a mansion in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. After they moved in together, they started filming challenge videos. Soon enough, they started filming their videos in public and would get recognized often.

As of the writing of this article, their subscriber count has reached more the four million, and they are often compared to Sidemen, Britain’s other big Youtuber group.

Beta Squad Members: Niko Omilana

Nikolas Omilana, better known by Niko Omilana, is an English Youtuber and member of the Beta Squad.

He has the highest number of subscribers among the Beta Squad. He has amassed 5.94 million subscribers on his Youtube channel, separate from the Beta Squad.

He has two side channels:

• ND, or Niko Defence League, is a parody of the far-right organization English Defense League which has 515K subscribers
• Niko Clips, which has 33.9K subscribers

He was born and raised in Staffordshire. He is primarily known for his prank-style and parody videos.

He usually pranks his friends and racists.  The Youtuber joined Youtube on June 22, 2011. He uploaded his first video on August 30, 2014.

His most viewed video has 33 million views. Of the 137 videos he uploaded on his channel, 83 have reached or surpassed a million views.

He was also a 2021 London mayoral candidate. He ran for the position of Mayor of London on May 6, 2021. He finished with 2% of the first place votes, which was the fifth highest of any candidate. The Youtuber was the highest voted candidate from the independent party.

Amin Mohamed, better known by his online Moniker Chunkz, is an English Youtuber and musician.

He has the second highest subscriber count amongst the Beta Squad, second only to Niko Omilana. He has amassed 2.39 million subscribers on his main channel, separate from the Beta Squad.

He was born in Somalia on February 21, 1996. His family emigrated to England when he was young, and the boy grew up in Northwest London.

The Youtuber has three older sisters and a brother. Since a young age, he has had a passion for rapping, making music, and comedy.

He started his Youtube channel on July 23, 2015, and uploaded his first video on August 7, 2015, entitled “Victim of the week: Chunkz v Abdallah.”

For the first year of his career, Chunkz made FIFA-related videos. Eventually, his videos evolved into pranks, challenges, reactions, comedy skits, and vlogs.

His most popular video is a music video called Vibranium by him and Neji. The video has amassed 8 million views. Of the 218 videos he has released, 55 have reached or surpassed a million views.

Aj Shabeel is a Dutch Youtuber and Beta Squad member known for his prank videos.

Like his fellow Beta Squad members, Shabeel has a high subscriber count. He has amassed 951K subscribers on his main channel, separate from the Beta Squad.

Kenny Ojuederie, also known by his online moniker KingKennyTv, is an English Youtuber who is a member of the Beta Squad.

Kenny has amassed 2.08 million subscribers from his Youtube channel, separate from the Beta Squad. He has two other channels, and they are:

• King Kenny Clips, which has 138K subscribers
• The King Family, which has 98.9K subscribers

He was born in London on March 20, 1997. His younger brother, Wisdom, also frequently appears in his videos.

The Youtuber started his channel on July 4, 2013, and uploaded his first video on March 11, 2014. Since then, he has released 122 videos.
