Dan Maurer Death Hoax- Where Is He Today?

Rumors of Dan Maurer’s death are circulating on social media. A website called Death Militia posted an obituary for Maurer on August 26, 2021.

The cause of his death is not mentioned on the website.

However, not one verified source has confirmed his death. His family members also have not released any statement regarding his demise.

It is likely this is just a rumor and he may be alive and enjoying his new disease-free life. He was diagnosed with scrotal lymphedema and underwent a difficult 14-hour surgery to remove the giant mass in 2015.

There has been no update about his health since 2015. This is probably why people thought he may have died. But, at the moment, the news of his demise is just a rumor and not at all confirmed.

Dan Maurer Before Scrotum Surgery

Dan Maurer was diagnosed with a lymphatic condition called scrotal lymphedema. The disease caused fluid to build up in his scrotum that eventually grew to 80 pounds, as per Daily Mail.

Maurer, initially scared and embarrassed, kept quiet of his situation. His condition prevented him from having sexual intercourse for twelve years.

Not only that but he was unable to perform even simpler daily activities such as urinate in a toilet and take a shower. When he finally went for a check-up, his doctor was baffled as he had never seen anything like it.

The doctor told him he needed to lose some weight. He did but his scrotum kept getting bigger.

After he watched a documentary of Wesley Warren titled The Man with the 132-Pound Scrotum, he visited the doctor who operated on Wesley. Dr. Joel Gelman scheduled surgery for late August 2015.

The long-hour surgery required dozens of surgeons but was successful and his mass scrotum was removed.

Dan Maurer After Scrotum Surgery- Update 2021

After the surgery, Dan Maurer had other problems. He could not move his legs and had to stay in California for 10 weeks for rehabilitation.

The doctors believed the surgery may have injured a leg nerve. Maurer and his wife eventually left for home even though he was not recovered.

Five days after he came home, he was admitted to a hospital again for treatment. The sores on his back and at his incision became infected.

Maurer went into a dark place but he eventually started recuperating, USA Today reported. He struggled to walk any sizable distance. While he cut back on his pain medication, he still required his other medicine to sleep at night.

The sore on his tailbone reduced to a size of a candy bar from the size of a basketball and his stomach sores started healing too. His weight reached just over 400 pounds from 600 pounds after surgery.

His recent update in 2021 is not yet known, but, we hope he gives an update about his life soon.
