Michael Gerson had a live appearance on PBS NewsHour on June 17, 2022. During the conversation, the WAPO columnist appears to be trembling, making his fans wonder if he has a tremor medical condition.

According to reports, Gerson has Parkinson’s disease, which causes victims to have difficulties walking and talking.

Parkinson’s disease is a brain ailment that involves unintentional or spontaneous moves like shaking, stiffness, and balance and coordination problems.

On the show, he appeared to explain how Trump advocated for Pence’s assassination by insurgents, concluding that Trump is an “evil man, an unethical man.”

Michael Gerson, a frequent on PBS NewsHour, shared his struggle with depression.

In early 2019, the WAPO columnist gave a guest sermon to parishioners at Washington’s National Cathedral, explaining why he had declined an earlier offer to speak.

Gerson expressed that he was hospitalized for depression at the time. He remarked it would have been substantially less fascinating; however, it would have been more fascinating if it had been less coherent.

The columnist discussed how his brain chemistry has led him to develop negative views about himself and his connections with others, seeking out the countless Americans who struggle with “this insidious, chronic disease.”

He stated he decided to go public after medical treatment for his disease, feeling there must be no taboo.

Reportedly, Michael Gerson has a serious depressive disorder and has been treated at least once as a result of it.

Gerson is still battling slow-growing kidney cancer which he was diagnosed with in 2013. Despite his health problems, he continues to work efficiently as a journalist and politician.

In 2018, Michael alongside Amy Holmes, a celebrated commentator,  co-hosted a political conservative talk show that aired on PBS for eight episodes.

“The soft bigotry of low expectations” and “the armies of compassion” are two terms Gerson is acknowledged for coining.

Time magazine also listed him among America’s twenty-five valuable Evangelicals. He was selected as the ninth most influential person in the edition of 7 February 2005.
