The DGP added that the Meghalaya Police have pursued a conflict against drugs across the state, what shares a 443-km line with Bangladesh.

As per the police Boss, the held onto drugs incorporate 3.62 kg heroin, 4,500 kg maryjane and 150 gm opium.

Of the 134 medication dealers, 123 are from Meghalaya and 11 are from Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh, Bishnoi said.

He added that the medication dealers let the police know that they getting the medications from Manipur and Mizoram, both imparting boundaries to Myanmar.

The Police likewise held onto 31 vehicles, 90 cell phones and money worth Rs 24.22 lakh during the beyond four months.

The senior IPS official expressed that to manage drug carrying and their unlawful exchanging, northeastern states alongside the focal organizations can work in a planned way.

He added that four police constables were captured for their announced contribution in the stockpile of medications.
