Evander Kane Parents: Meet Perry Kane And Sheri Kane

Canadian ice hockey player, Evander Kane, was born on August 2, 1991, to his parents, Perri and Sherry Kane.
Perry and Sherri both played volleyball professionally when they were much younger.
They later moved to East Vancouver to start a family.
Evander’s parents named him after American boxer Evander Holyfield.
Perry Kane
Evander’s father Perry was raised in East Preston, Nova Scotia, amongst five siblings.
He was a hockey player during his time and at age 16, he played hockey with his brother Leonard, who was later inducted the Canadian Ball Hockey Hall of Fame.
He went on to play for the Cole Harbour Scotia Colts, and the Dartmouth Arrows.
Sheri Kane
Evander’s mother, Sheri, also played volleyball.
She has been one of Evander’s strongest source of encouragement in his career, that she enrolled him at age 8.
Who Is Evander Kane?
Evander plays for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Before playing for Edmonton, he played for the Atlanta Thrashers, Winnipeg Jets, Buffalo Sabres, and San Jose Sharks.
In 2007, Kane clinched the Memorial Cup with the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League.
Kane grew up in East Vancouver, and had his high school education at John Oliver Secondary.
He also competed in the IIHF World Championships between 2010 and 2014.
Kane has won several gold medals both at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and the World Junior Championships.
