Grant H. Napear (born June 18, 1959) is a play-by-play announcer for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association and a sports radio presenter for KHTK Sports 1140 in Sacramento, California. Napear serves as the Kings’ play-by-play announcer and broadcasts The Grant Napear Show on KHTK Sports 1140 in Sacramento in the afternoons. This sports discussion show airs from 3 to 7 p.m. Napear is a native of Syosset, New York, who graduated from Syosset High School in 1977 and went on to Bowling Green University to seek a degree in broadcast journalism. Napear played NCAA lacrosse while at the institution.
He now serves on the board of the Future Foundation of Sacramento, which provides college scholarships to underprivileged children. Since 1995, he has sponsored a benefit golf event for the organisation. “Put it in the book and send him to the line!” “Turn the sprinkler systems on because (said player) is on fire!” “Oh boy!
