Over seven days after dark trans lady Koko Da Doll was fiercely gunned down, Atlanta Police declared the capture of a suspect regarding the episode. On Thursday, April 27, police said they had captured Jermarcus Jernigan in the deadly shooting of dark transsexual lady Rasheed Williams, who performed under the stage name Koko Da Doll.
Jermarcus Jernigan, a 17-year-old from Atlanta, is blamed for shooting Koko Da Doll at a location close to a retail outlet in southwest Atlanta on April 18.
According to NBC News, on Wednesday, April 26, a 17-year-old male, distinguished as Jermarcus Jernigan, handed himself over after specialists got a warrant for his capture in association with the passing of Koko Da Doll, otherwise known as Rasheeda Williams.
Williams, 35, was killed in the shooting on April 18 at around 10:40 p.m. Williams rose to unmistakable quality subsequent to showing up in the “Kokomo City” narrative at the Sundance Film Celebration in January 2023.
While authorities didn’t distinguish the casualty by name at that point, they said that officials answered a shooting report at a location close to a retail plaza and found the harmed individual lethargic. The person in question, who authorities portrayed as “not ready, cognizant, or breathing,” was articulated dead at the scene.
In a proclamation on Twitter at that point, authorities said that they were examining three brutal wrongdoings including transsexual ladies who were fiercely killed for this present year. While authorities didn’t say assuming they thought this was a designated assault against the trans local area, they recognized that there is expanding brutality against transsexual individuals in Georgia. They said:
Before she was killed, Koko Da Doll was anticipating the cross country arrival of an impending narrative on transsexual ladies, “Kokomo City,” which featured the “tales of four dark transsexual s*x laborers in New York City and Georgia,” according to the film’s site.
Soon after she was killed, the head of the narrative, D. Smith, made an Instagram proclamation:

“On Tuesday night, Rasheeda Williams was shot and killed in Atlanta. Rasheeda, otherwise known as Koko Da Doll, was the most recent casualty of viciousness against Dark transsexual ladies.”
Smith added:
“I made Kokomo City since I needed to show the tomfoolery, refined, regular side of Dark trans ladies. I needed to make pictures that didn’t show the injury or the measurements of the homicide of Transsexual lives.”
While specialists are yet to uncover extra data on the occurrence, they said that the 17-year-old will be charged as a grown-up under Georgia regulation.
