She performed on stage for the first time when she was just 3 years old. She performed along with an ensemble directed by her father.
Sanina graduated from the Music School of Jazz and Variety Art in Ukraine in 2005. She furthered her education at the Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, bagging a master’s degree in folklore studies.
She was a vocalist in a band called Sister Siren from 2006 to 2008. In September 2011, she created a music duo with producer Valeriy dubbed Val & Sanina. The name was later changed to The Hardkiss after several improvements were done.
The band started writing English songs by themselves and released their debut music video with the song Babylon. They opened a show for the British band Hurts in 2011.
The Hardkiss signed a contract with Sony BMG in February 2012. They started gaining a massive following and won several prominent awards in Ukraine, and other foreign countries.
Sanina started uploading videos of herself and the band’s life behind the scenes on YouTube in 2014. She was selected as one of the four judges on the seventh series of The X Factor Ukraine in 2016.
