At the age of 15, Moore became a model and started working shoots for Dior and Gucci, despite the initial treatment of them as a risky choice by the fashion industry. Although Moore was booking modeling gigs, they became increasingly disenchanted with the fashion industry and its emphasis on body image.

Moore met Jose Gutierez Xtravaganza, the iconic dancer and ballroom veteran while doing history for the TV series The Get Down. He urged them to pursue acting and sent Moore to an audition for Saturday Church, an independent film. Moore landed Dijon ‘s role and the film was shown at the Tribeca Film Festival.
