Ricky Council IV family includes parents Ruth Council and Ricky Council Sr. Ricky IV brothers are Ricky II and Ricky III, and their sister is Rihanna Council.
The American college basketball player plays for the Arkansas Razorbacks of the Southeastern Conference. After averaging 23 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game he was titled as the third-team All-State as a senior.
Council was rated a three-star recruit and committed to playing college basketball at Wichita State over offers from Rice, Appalachian State, Elon, Hofstra, UMBC, Georgia Southern, Siena, James Madison, and Coastal Carolina.
The player started his college career at Wichita State. He averaged 7.1 points and 3.4 rebounds over 22 games and was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Freshman team.
He played in all 28 of the Shockers’ games with seven starts and averaged 12 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game and was named the AAC Sixth Man of the Year. Following the end of the season, he at the start declared for the 2022 NBA Draft.

Ricky Council IV family consists of his loving parents Ruth Council and Rick Council Sr. Ricky lives with them in North Carolina, U.S.
The couple raised four famous young athletes but they are very private themselves.
Ricky Council IV mom Ruth Council and dad Rick Council were captured walking out together during his games. They were spotted at the senior night game against Cedar Ridge at Southern High School on Friday, 14 February.
Though all the children are quite famous they are far away from the public and media attention. We can clearly say that both of them are supportive and pushed their children forward.
His father Rick said that everyone doesn’t want to name their child after someone they know with that name. And he knows people name their kids after good people, professional people, and at the end of the day, he felt that no one was worthy but his name.
All His Siblings Are Basketball Players
Ricky Council IV brothers Ricky Council II and Ricky Council III are senior basketball players. Ricky also has an elder sister named Rhianna Council.
All three brothers are named after their father. He credits those older siblings for making him a tougher, more physical player, especially around the basket and sports management major.
The Council siblings learned the game from their father Rick Council at around the age of four. They have a healthy and fierce sibling competition and it is the norm inside and outside of the home.
Ricky Council II
The oldest brother Ricky Council II played at Province and UMBC in 2017-18 but did not complete it due to the NCAA transfer rule.
He completed in 19 games at Providence, 14 as a freshman and five in his sophomore campaign. In 2019-20 he had a career-high 15 points in the America East opener against UMass Lowell making five field goals with four coming from three.
Since 2015-16, after playing just 66 minutes of college basketball, he started the first nine games of the season.
As per his Linkedin, he is a business owner helping people of all backgrounds and professions break generational curses through mentorship and positive association.
Council has an experience as a Retail Merchandising Specialist at Premium Retail Services for more than two years where he manages major contracts for various companies including L’Oreal, MJ Holdings, Duracell, Purdue, etc.
After this, he was a physical education teacher at the Wicomico County Board of Education on Contract for ten months.
Talking about his education, he joined Providence College for Sociology. Here, he has 2 NCAA tournament appearances and transferred to UMBC to finish out his student-athlete career.
Similarly, in 2017 he attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County for Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Aging Services, and Minor-American Studies. He was involved in the activities and societies of Men’s Basketball, America East Conference Champion 2018, First 16 seed to beat a 1 seed in NCAA History.
Brother Ricky Council III
The second elder brother Ricky Council III played as a junior college basketball at Northeast Oklahoma A&M.
There are no more details regarding him but he is elder than Ricky IV and younger than Ricky Council II and Rhianna Council.
At a younger age, all the Council siblings learned the game by playing with each other as a competitor. Ricky II and Rhianna had a team and Ricky III and IV had another team.
Sister Rhianna Council
Ricky Council IV sister Rhianna Council is the older one. Rhianna was named Conference Player of the Year in 2016 at Northern.
Rihana played in 22 of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s 24 games by achieving an average of 1.8 points and 2.3 returned in 12.4 minutes per game. She was a student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts majoring in BA, Communication and Media Studies.
At her high school, she averaged 25.1 points and 9.8 backfired per game for Northern High School where she was titled the 2016 Piedmont Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
In 2014, she was one of 140 players selected countrywide to try out for a spot on the FIBA U17 World Championship team. Along with this she was a high jumper and ran 400 meters for her high school’s track and field team and also e]ran across the country.
As a Sophomore she had appeared in all thirty games including one start, averaging 2.8 points and 2.2 rebounds in 16.6 minutes per game.
