Joe LaCava is an American Caddy from Newton who has worked with Freddies Couple for over 20 years. Also, since 2011, he started working with Tiger Woods and became an important part of Woods’ team. The caddy was born as Joseph Francis LaCava Jr. in the year 1955 in Newtown, Connecticut, USA. He was born as one of the four children of Joseph Francis LaCava Jr. and Mary Ann Young LaCava. Also, his father passed away at the age of 72 in 2009. Regarding his education, he completed his graduation from Western Connecticut State University in 1986 with a degree in finance.
From a very young age, Joe started playing different sports like soccer and baseball. However, he had always been interested in playing golf. For nearly five decades, he became a member of the Newton Country Club and won several local golf tournaments. But he never played college golf tournaments.
After working almost three years as a caddy, he has worked with the likes of John Cook, Mike Hulbert and his cousin Ken Green. He joined golfer Tiger Woods in 2011 as his caddy after Woods parted ways with Steve Williams for thirteen years.
