She enjoys tasting meals from different cultures and loves to travel. Joel and Lona met in Old Town Scottsdale in 2012.

The two were waiting for a late-night pizza snack when Joel started a conversation. Their friendship continued from that point onwards.

The two got along well and Lona started showing up for some of Joel’s games. They dated for about six years and got married in December of 2018.
