His mother once overdosed and nearly died when Kai was just 4-years-old – only to be saved when he found her. However, because he’s witnessed her on-going battle, he insists that he’ll never touch drugs in case he ends up like his mother ex-EastEnders star.

“I am anti-drugs. I don’t touch them. I don’t take sleeping tablets or even paracetamol. I don’t even drink alcohol. I have had a few friends die because of drugs. It is common.”
