Kevin Richardson whose birth name is Kevin Scott Richardson is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and model, best known as a member of the Backstreet Boys. He was inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame along with his cousin and bandmate Brian Littrell on April 10, 2015.

At a young age, Richardson loved music and started learning how to play the piano by ear when he was 9 years old. He sang in his church’s choir since he was a child and was a part of his community and high school theater.

Richardson is the son of Ann C., homemaker and Jerald Wayne Richardson, Sr., an outdoorsman and handyman. Growing up, Kevin lived on a 10-hectare farm with his parents and two older brothers Jerald Wayne Jr. and Tim, one of whom is a model, for 9 years and later lived in a log cabin at Cathedral Domain Camp, a church-owned youth camp which his father ran, where he worked as a camp counselor. His father Jerald Wayne Richardson died on August 26, 1991, after a 2-year battle with cancer, when Kevin was 19.

Kristin was featured in the 2015 documentary Pushing Motherhood, in which she speaks openly about her and Kevin’s struggles with fertility.

He joined a new group called Backstreet boys. H a joined as the more the member so Richardson called Brian  Littrell who is an  American singer-songwriter and actor best known as a member of the Back street Boys. He is also CCM  Singer and Released a solo Album welcome home in 2006.  Brian was a Richardson, maternal first cousin to ask to audition for the group. He accepted and the next day the joined the group.  The quintet took shape.

After graduating, he soon found himself working as a cast member in Florida’s Walt Disney World, playing a wide variety of characters from Aladdin to one of the Teenage Mutant Turtles. Eventually, in 1993, Richardson left his Disney costume days behind to join a new boy band called the Backstreet Boys. Due to the fact that the group was still in need of one more member after his addition, he then invited his cousin Brian Littrell to audition for the part. With the ensemble complete, the Backstreet Boys officially came to be later that year

Solo

As he was outside the group he had completed the various projects. He had composed the soundtrack to the animated film. The spirit bears in 2003 that was set to release in 2010 after several years of delay. Kevin joined forces with longtime friend Mcgruffey and opened a  Music Academy called the Music  Worked shop in The  Louisville Kentucky. The academy opened to help others learn the tricks of the trade.

Solo began the first album on. It is during 2013 when the boy cruise when each a member had an album when each member had their own individuals events. Richardson performed various forms of cover songs.  He had mentioned that the had covered the released an album called Cover story.  He had also released in 2012.   Kevin returned to be an active member of the backstreet boys in the same years. On May 9, 2015, he posted onto youtube a new track recorded from his cover story album where he planned to release in 2015.  The son was covered by a Billy Joel song who is an American singer-songwriter composer and pianist. The commonly nicknamed the piano man after his first major hit and signature song of the same he has led a commercially successful career as a solo artist since 1970  having a released twelve.

Performing at a number of different venues including Orlando’s own Seaworld, they worked hard to build a fan base during their initial years while also trying to secure a recording deal at the same time. Although they fell short of a contract with Mercury Records, the quintet eventually caught the attention of Jeff Fenster, a senior A&R at Jive Records at a performance; impressed by their onstage talents, he soon offered them a recording contract with the company.

Richardson and the rest of his bandmates released their debut album, Backstreet Boys in the spring of 1996. A huge commercial hit, their popularity as a group soon exploded as they gained international fame. Garnering them a Grammy Award for the category of “Best New Artist”, the album also earned them several other accolades including a Billboard Music Award for “Group Album of the Year” and a Bravo Otto Awards for Gold Pop Group.

Shortly after leaving the group in 2006, Richardson began pursuing other budding interests such as acting. He made his on-screen debut in the Christian television movie, Love Takes Wing alongside Sarah Jones and Jordan Bridges in the spring of 2009. From there, he went on to star in a musical film called The Bloody Indulgent in 2010 which revolved around a theme of vampires; that same year, Richardson also appeared in the drama, The Casserole Club alongside Michael Maize, Garrett Swann, and Daniela Sea. His performance in the movie, he was given an Independent Vision Award for Best Actor in 2011.
