He was born on June 14, 1995 in southern suburban Chicago. Things got bad for her when her patriarch left his home in the care of his mother, Tami Treadwell. It’s no surprise that Laquon chose not to talk about his father, yet he often tries to reach him when he can. Initially trained as a farmer as his family owned a cornfield, his supposed career took off when he developed a passion for football.
Laquon Treadwell is one of five siblings, two sisters and three brothers. After her father left, they moved to Ford Heights when the recipient was just 9 years old. According to records, they never settled in one place because they were always looking for cheaper accommodation. Eventually, they decided to settle in University Park, where the rest of their survival story has become history.
Tami Treadwell raised her kids to always stand up for themselves, but she saw a difference in her son, Laquon. The child had a big heart and as a child often ran through fields of plants to steal tomatoes and onions.
Laquon Treadwell started his football career with the Crete-Monee High School football team. There he played as a wide receiver, playing the role of quarterback when he was young and also featured in defense during his sophomore year. He has been quick in all the positions he has filled as a football player and has also been cited as one of the school’s top prospects. In his sophomore year, he recorded 58 passes for 811 yards in addition to 7 touchdowns. As a junior, he had 75 catches for 1,391 yards, 18 touchdowns on offense and 45 tackles with eight sacks on defense. With that record, he was voted NWI Times Offensive Player of the Year, Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Year, and First-Team All-State among other honors.Laquon Treadwell started his senior career with a glam. He received more recognition, averaging 13.0 points, 8.6 rebounds in each of his games. After high school, he was rated a 5-star recruit by Rivals.com and other well-known esports brokers. In addition, other athletic schools gave him offers, but he chose the University of Mississippi because he wanted to be in the same school with his friend Anthony Standifer.
NFL career
Laquon Treadwell did not complete his college career, so in his third year he decided to join the NFL the following year. After setting an immeasurable record as a student athlete, he was easily selected by the Minnesota Vikings as the 23rd overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
His first appearance with the team was in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, where he caught four passes for 41 yards. In his next game, he recorded a 15-yard reception that was his first professional career pass. Unfortunately, the big receiver’s record wasn’t exactly impressive in his rookie season. Overall, he appeared in 9 games and finished the season with just one reception.
The following season in a game against the Pittsburg Steelers, he recorded three receptions for 33 yards. He played in a few games this season and recorded a total of 20 receptions for 200 reception yards. In 2018, Laquon recorded his first touchdown of his NFL career in a tie against the Green Bay Packers.
