Laura Prepon Parents: Meet Marjorie Prepon, Michael Prepon

Laura Prepon is an American actress, producer, and director. She is the daughter of Marjorie Prepon and Michael Prepon.

Her mother was a high school teacher and gourmet home chef, and her father Michael Prepon was an orthopedic surgeon.

Prepon’s father died in 1993 during a heart surgery at the age of 49; she was 13 at the time. She graduated from Watchung Hills Regional High School at the age of 15, and then went on to study at the Total Theatre Lab in New York City.

Her father was Jewish, with Russian Jewish ancestors, and her mother is primarily Irish Catholic.

Prepon is best known for her prominent roles in television series, particularly for her portrayal of Donna Pinciotti in the popular sitcom “That ’70s Show,” which aired from 1998 to 2006.

In addition to her work on “That ’70s Show,” Laura Prepon is also known for her role as Alex Vause in the critically acclaimed Netflix series “Orange Is the New Black,” which ran from 2013 to 2019.

Aside from her acting career, Laura Prepon has been involved in producing and directing. She has directed episodes of “Orange Is the New Black” and has been involved in various other projects both in front of and behind the camera.
