Linden Soles (born October 26, 1956 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian television journalist who is best known for anchoring CNN. He was most recognised for his CNN coverage of Diana, Princess of Wales’ death. Rick Kaplan fired him from the network in 1998 as part of a management shakeup, claiming that the network had too many anchors for viewers to keep up of. Soles worked for Canadian television stations such as CKND-TV in Winnipeg and both CKVU-TV and CHAN-TV in Vancouver before joining CNN in 1993.
