Mahmoud Abdel-Raouf is a retired American professional basketball player. He played basketball at Gulfport High School. Before joining Louisiana State University to play college basketball for the Tigers. He was selected by the Denver Nuggets as the third choice in the 1990 NBA draft. In 1993, he changed his name from Chris Jackson to Mahmoud Abdel-Raouf after his conversion to Islam in 1991.
