Basketball player Matthew William Dellavedova hails from Australia and is now a member of the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

After going undrafted in the 2013 NBA draft, he joined the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2013 NBA Summer League while playing collegiate basketball at Saint Mary’s collegiate.

In September 2013, Dellavedova agreed to a two-year, $1.3 million contract with the Cavaliers, and he later enjoyed a prosperous career with the group.

In addition to taking part in the Rising Stars Challenge during the NBA All-Star weekend in February 2015, he recorded a career-high 21 points in March 2014. He had 18 points and 12 assists in the regular season’s final game against the Washington Wizards in April 2015.

While some people criticized Dellavedova’s aggressive style of play during the 2015 NBA Playoffs, teammates LeBron James and NBA icon Charles Barkley defended it.

The Cavaliers became the first team in NBA history to win the title after falling behind 3-1 in their series against the Golden State Warriors thanks in large part to Dellavedova’s crucial contribution to their historic victory in the 2016 NBA championship.
