Newton Norman Minow was an American lawyer who presided over the Federal Communications Commission

Newton N Minow and his wife Josephine Baskin had three daughters Martha Minow, Mary Minow and Nell Minow.

All his daughters trained as lawyers. Mary is a library law expert appointed to the Obama administration.

Meet Nell Minow

Nell Minow is a shareholder activist and movie critic. Nell Minow is a frequent writer and speaker on film, media, corporate governance, and investing.

In 2007, Directorship magazine named Ms Minow one of the 20 most influential people in corporate governance.

BusinessWeek Online dubbed her “the queen of good corporate governance” in 2003, and she has received Lifetime Achievement awards from both the International Corporate Governance Networks and Corporate Secretary Magazine.

Meet Martha L. Minow

Martha Louise Minow is a legal scholar and Harvard University’s 300th Anniversary University Professor.

She was the 12th Dean of Harvard Law School from 2009 to 2017, and she has taught there since 1981.

She has been described as “one of the world’s leading human rights scholars” and “one of the world’s leading figures in applying legal ideas and scholarship to issues of identity, race, and equality, including innovative approaches to reconciliation among divided peoples.”
