Olivia Nuzzi boyfriend Ryan Lizza is a political journalist and chief Washington correspondent for Politico. Ryan started his journalism career in 1998.

The couple got engaged in September 2022, she is flaunting her round-shaped diamond ring.

Born in New York City, political reporter Nuzzi was raised by parents Kelly and John Nuzzy in Middletown Township, New Jersey. She currently works as the Washington Correspondent for New York Magazine.

A Fordham dropout, Nuzzi left university before graduating to take the job at The Daily Beast in 2014, where she got to cover the presidential campaigns of Rand Paul and Chirs Christie and Trump’s upswing. The exceptional reporter also made it to the Forbes 30 under 30 lists in 2018.

Olivia Nuzzi Boyfriend

Olivia Nuzzi boyfriend Ryan Lizza is the chief Washington Correspondent for Politico. Ryan proposed to his now-fiance Olivia earlier in September.

Born as Ryan Christopher Lizza, the 48-year-old journalist is Dix Hills, New York native. Growing up, he received his education from Berkshire School, a private boarding school in Sheffield, Massachusetts, and got his BA degree from UC Berkeley.

The Correspondent kickstarted his career at the Centre for Investigative Reporting in San Fransisco and worked on an Emmy Award-winning documentary Hot Guns at the time.

He rose to fame as the senior editor for the New Republic in 1998, covering significant political events such as Bill Clinton’s impeachment and the 2004 presidential election. Subsequently, he worked for New York Magazine as their editor and as a correspondent for GQ.

His interview with White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci in 2017 turned heads and reportedly led to the director’s dismissal. Lizza was The New Yorker’s Washington Correspondent at that time.

But the same year, he was indicted for indecent assault and was dismissed after working at The New Yorker for a decade. He has been a senior political analyst for CNN since 2012 and was suspended briefly due to the allegations but came back on air six weeks later.

Onto the personal side, Lizza recently made it official with news reporter Olivia Nuzzi putting a ring on her finger. In September, he proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Nuzzi, in Anacapri, Italy, this year.

Flaunting the newly engaged ring, Lizza’s fiance announced their engagement on her socials, sharing a couple of monochrome pictures and videos. The couple looks over the moon, newly espoused to each other.

The round diamond ring on Olivia’s finger sure looks like a designer, and less couldn’t be expected from the journalist, especially for such a special occasion.

Olivia and Ryan Relationship

Olivia and Ryan are engaged to be married. The political journalist couple has been together for almost four years and has been inseparable.

Although there is no specified information on when the couple officially began dating, their romance must have sparked during work since they are in a similar line of business.

Before dating reporter Nuzzi, Ryan was married to Christina Gillespie, a doctor by profession and shares two of his children with the doctor.

In December 2018, Publishers Marketplace reported that Nuzzi and Ryan were writing a “coauthored account of the 2020 presidential campaign” for Avid Reader Press, to be published by Simon and Schuster.

However, she had already made their relationship public in early 2018, sharing images of the couple on her social handles.

In 2019, Nuzzi and her partner Ryan made a public appearance to receive Nuzzi’s ASME NEXT Awards, which honors the outstanding achievement by magazine journalists under the age of 30.

Donning a scarlet off-the-shoulder dress, Nuzzi posed with her journalist partner, dressed up in a suit for the event. She even received compliments from Anna Wintour on the dress.

Although Ryan had to ring in his 46th amid covid lockdown in 2020, he felt fortunate having his girlfriend with him on his birthday. The reason is the joy and happiness brought by Nuzzi in his life.

Quarantined together in Utah, the couple planned a pandemic date night out on the terrace of their home, enjoying the scenery of green hills.

Aside from being journalists, the couple is also avid travelers. If they’re not being the Washington Correspondents, they’re out somewhere enjoying nature.

From going on hikes to White Rocks National Recreation Area to enjoying sunsets at Moonstone beach in Cambria, CA, they love going on vacations.
