Q-Tip net worth: Q-Tip is an American rapper and record producer who has a net worth of $8 million dollars. Born in Jamaica, Queens, New York, Q-Tip, also known as Jonathan Davis and Kamaal Ibn John Fareed, is a member of the wildly successful music group, A Tribe Called Quest.
The primary producer and writer for much of A Tribe Called Quest’s material, he has also produced tracks for such artists as Mobb Deep, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Questlove, and Kanye West, among many others. After A Tribe Called Quest went their separate ways in 1998, he launched a solo career that was stymied by his label, which did not feel that his records were commercially viable, and consequently did not release them. He has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, and has received one. He has appeared on multiple Top Producer and Top MC lists in multiple publications.
