Rod Woodson wife Nickie Woodson is an Instructional Aide for International Christian Academy. Rod and Nickie raised five children.
Rod has been the head coach of the Vegas Vipers since 2023. He started his coaching career in 2010 via Cincinnati Bengals.
As a former NFL cornerback, he started his career by getting drafted by Pittsburgh Steelers in 1987 as the 1st rounder. There he played till 1996. He retired from the Oakland Raiders in 2003.
Rod made 1049 tackles, 71 interceptions, and 17 touchdowns in his NFL career. The coach also holds the record for “Most career interceptions returned for a touchdown” with 12.
Woodson is a Super Bowl XXXV champion and 11 times Pro Bowl player. He was also crowned the NFL’s Defensive player of the year in 1993. In January 2009, Rod was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Rod tied the knot with Nickie Woodson on May 31, 1992.
The couple lives in their San Francisco Bay residence with their household. Per Wall Street Journal in 2019, they customized their home and listed it for 2.15 million dollars.

On December 6, 2019, Rod celebrated Nickie’s birthday in Green, Ohio. He tweeted that he was blessed to have married the sweetest woman in the universe and wished her a Happy birthday.
Rod commemorated his 26th anniversary in May 2018 by tributing a lock screen photo he had of her. Erik Harris, the free Safety of the Atlanta Falcons, congratulated Rod on their long-term anniversary.
Rod met Nickie during his Steelers year
Rod first met Nickie during his early years with Pittsburgh Steelers.
Nickie also shared a humorous moment when she had asked about what he did for a career, and Rod had simply replied, “I work.” This made her believe he was in a shady business for a while.
However, their relationship soon bloomed into romance, and had decided to marry.
In an interview with NFL Films, Woodson mentioned how he was very protective of his spouse and household. For instance, he talked about when Carl Pickens, the former Wide Receiver of the Bengals, insulted Nickie during their 1993 game.
This situation led to Rod getting frustrated and angry and nearly led to a big fight. Carl later apologized for his behavior.

Rod Woodson has five children: Marikah, Jairus, Nemiah, Tia, and Demitrius Woodson.
All the kids live with their parents in San Francisco Bay area.
Nemiah graduated from Foothill High School in June 2018.
Furthermore, Nemiah and Tia also graduated from the popular L Makeup Institute in September 2019. Rod promoted his daughter’s newly established makeup business on his Twitter too.
Nickie and Rod have shared many memorable moments of their family on social media, about their trips and vacations, to celebrating festivities.
Woodson’s Family Trips
Rod traveled to Hawaii to vacation with his household on May 28, 2022.
He tweeted a beautiful clip on Hawaii’s Waianae area beach during the morning time. Rod also shared family pictures of the seaside resort. One user even funnily commented that they were in paradise but were still eating Taco Bell.
The Woodsons also went to the Cayman Islands on Jul 27, 2018, and enjoyed the boat trip. Rod tweeted, “Great time on the water in the Caymans with the fam!” One Pittsburgh fan stated they should also go on the Steeleer cruise.
For his son Demitri’s 24th birthday, the Woodsons went to eat the delicious food of Yanagi Sushi & Grill in California for celebration. He also tweeted a short clip about the marvelous fire cooking technique from its chef on Twitter.
Moreover, Rod displayed his pride by showing the great ‘Birria de res tacos’ recipe his daughter Marikah had prepared for him on Sep 23, 2020.

On the 2020 New Year’s eve, Rod shared the household’s fun time in the Las Vegas mountain range, where they did sledding. One user even loved the Steelers’ beanies that Nickie had worn.
