Tim Smith Moonshiners underwent surgery for a blood clot on his shoulder. Tim now has a bad scar on his neck/shoulder area.

Smith is perhaps best known for his appearance in the American docudrama series Moonshiners, which airs on the Discovery Channel.

The series is produced by Magilla Entertainment.

Moonshiners dramatize the life of a group of people producing Moonshine (illegal), a high-proof liquor, in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee.

The series navigates their life, liquor production efforts, and law-evading techniques.

However, local officials claim that the series is not what it showcases itself to be and no illegal liquor is being produced.

In March 2012, the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control stated that if illegal production of liquor were taking place in real, the concerned authorities would have taken needed action.

Moonshiners Tim Smith Has A Scar In His Shoulder

Moonshiners Tim Smith surgery is indicated by the scar on his neck. Many say that the moonshiner had to get surgery after a blood clot in his collar region.

Often surgeries leave normal fine-line scars, depending on the type. The process of healing can take a few years.

However, the mark will not disappear entirely but most scars will gradually fade.

It will leave a visible mark of lines. Such marks are common following a wound or surgery.

Usually, they are not painful but may be itchy for a few months.

Fans have never seen Smith in a shirt, regardless of the month. It’s been over a decade since the star was introduced during Season 1 of Moonshiners, and most recently, people noticed his scars on the neck/shoulder area.

They worry that the star has some health issues, but Smith has not shared any details about his well-being.

He is doing well with his health as he continues to expand his business and hunt for some famous (as well as infamous) moonshine recipes.

Fans Reaction To Smith’s Shoulder Scar

Smith’s shoulder scar has further sparked discussion on social platforms, including Reddit. One Reddit user noticed a 12-16” scar on his collarbone in one of the show’s episodes.

Discussing the matter on Reddit, one individual said, “I just read he had a blood clot,” while the other asked, “Did he finally get that lump on his back removed?” “Nothing definite,” added another user.

Meanwhile, some were curious if he had skin cancer following the scar and a red patch in the area. One particular user supposed that it looked like subclavian steal syndrome according to his wife (who is a doctor).

“It’s where one clavicle is pressed against an artery and pinches the blood flow off on that side,” he added. They have to surgically adjust where the clavicle sits to even the flow.

Looking at the social media posts, we can find various assumptions and suppositions but none are sure what actually happened to the moonshiner.
