U-Haul Driver Strikes Multiple People in ‘Violent Rampage’ Before High-Speed Chase in Brooklyn: NYPD

The driver of a U-Take truck went on a “vicious frenzy” Monday early daytime harming eight individuals including a NYPD official when he drove up and onto a walkway in Brooklyn, N.Y., police guarantee. At around 10:50 a.m., the driver struck walkers in the Sound Edge area of Brooklyn, prior to driving police on a rapid pursuit, New York City Police Chief Keechant Sewell said at a question and answer session Monday. During a 30-minute pursue, the driver struck individuals at seven unique areas, police said.

Police halted the driver, who has not been recognized by authorities, close to the entry of the Brooklyn-Battery Passage and captured him.

Of the eight individuals who were harmed, two are in basic condition, two others are in difficult condition and the excess four have minor wounds, Sewell said.

One individuals who was harmed is a cop, she said. Three others were on mopeds and one was a walker, she said.

New York City Gathering part Justin Brannan, whose region incorporates Cove Edge, tweeted, “We have no clue about thought processes as of now however this wasn’t a mishap.”
Sewell focused on there’s “no sign that there is any psychological oppression association in this episode.”

It is hazy right now assuming that the driver will have to deal with penalties.
