Micha Materre is an award-winning anchor and journalist of the WGN Evening News at Five and Six and the WGN News at Nine and Ten. 

Before being selected as an anchor of the WGN News at Nine in 2009, she was co-anchor of WGN Midday News from January-2003 to October-2009. 

Prior to that, in January 1998, Materre joined Chicago’s WGN-TV as a Morning News co-anchor and medical reporter.

She has anchored all the broadcasts at WGN, just as covering amusement news and unique assignment stories, including the memorable introduction of America’s first dark President.

Micah Materre is married to her husband, Kevin Jackson, a photographer, and editor by professional working at WJBK-TV. The duo traded their vows in June 1995. 

Since then, the couple is living a happy married life and is blessed with two kids, Louis and McKenzie. Apart from this, Micah was born to her parents Louise and Jeanne in Chicago.
