What Happened At Yaquis Pizza In St Louis?
Many people have seen the now-viral video where a man accuses the owners of Yaquis Pizza in St Louis of racism. However, some netizens claimed that a minute of video does not tell the entire story.
Some people believe the owners were racist, whereas others say it might be fake. A user on Reddit also shared that his friend, who had been working in the store for the last six years, told the whole story behind the incident.
The owner, Becki, had asked the man, whose name is said to be Jeff, to stop tossing trash out of their cricket shop in their pizza shop’s trash can on numerous occasions. Then, Jeff is supposedly motivated to harass Beckie and say some rude words to her.
Then her spouse arrives outside to help her with the patio as she is being threatened. She is being yelled at while being told that Jeff was unhappy because he was advised to refrain from using a dumpster that his company does not pay for.
Thus, it is said that the couple only asked him to return to his store and not to their country. This story has sounded convincing to many people, but some still question its credibility.
Internet Calls Yaquis Pizza Owners Racist
The employee at the Yaquis Pizza claimed that the man was yelling curse words at Beckie when she had asked Jeff to leave his shop and cease intruding on their terrace. The employee at the store requested everyone to use caution while picking what online posts to believe.
The employee claimed that no one has ever been told to return to their country of origin since they have a diverse team and care about their community. The worker further added that nobody who operates this business or works there would ever say anything xenophobic or racist, much less say something like “go back to your country.”
Thus, they said they were not racists because the name of their establishment itself is connected with the Yaqui Native tribe. And Francis’ family is one of them. They are an indigenous tribe in northern Mexico/ southern Arizona.
Was The Supposed Victim Palestinian Customer At Yaquis Pizza?
Rumors said that the victim of racism at Yaquis Pizza St. Louis is a Palestinian customer. However, the identity of that person is not identified yet.
Nevertheless, some said it was not a customer but a guy who owned a store near the pizza shop. They reportedly argued about the Palestinian guy using the pizza shop’s dumpster.
