Marcus Scribner was born on January 7, 2000 A.D. in Los Angles, California. He was born in a bi-racial household, to his father Troy Scribner, and his mother Angela Scribner. Marcus was named after Roman-Greek Mythology, like his father Troy and sister Athena.

His paternal family is from Los Angles whereas his maternal grandmother is from England. When Marcus was a kid he adopted a puppy and named it Zeus, whom he loves dearly. Just from the beginning, Marcus was very fascinated with acting. So, at the age of 7, he started studying acting along with his educational courses.

During his childhood, Marcus used to be one of the shy kids, leaving away from any particular friend group and having no hobbies. Even though he was not interested in anything, acting was there for him which made him feel happy. 

So, every weekend he used to go to acting classes. He was just a normal kid but wasn’t too fond of sports and was only drawn toward acting, but later he admitted that he was afraid to get injured while playing. But he still loves playing video games along with basketball.

Marcus did his schooling at Ralph Waldo Emerson and Canfield Ave. Elementary School. Pursuing his career along with schooling was a bit hectic for Marcus, so later he was home-schooled for his convenience. Later, he completed his graduation from Standford University.

Marcus Scribner was part of many shows from just starting at the age of 10. But he got a big break after being starred in a regular role at the age of 13. Marcus was cast in the comedy series known as Black-ish. He was starred to play the role of Andre Johnson Jr, opposite actor Anthony Anderson, and Tracee Ellis Ross. 

The showed, Black-ish first premiered in September 2014, and was a massive hit amongst the critics and the audience. The show received an overwhelming amount of critical acclamation and different prestigious awards like the Emmy and Golden Globe Awards.

Marcus has left a huge mark on the audience with his acting skills. People applauded how well Marcus portrayed his character in the series. After being cast in Black-ish, Marcus was welcomed into the Hollywood industry with open arms. Along with the show Black-ish, Marcus also gave voice to the unrestrained dinosaur, Buck, in the animated movie, Pixar’s “The Good Dinosaur” in the year 2015.

In 2020, Marcus shared the big screen alongside, Lucas Adams, and Paris Berelc namely, in the movie “Confessional”. In this movie, Marcus starred as a supporting character. Although people had a bit high expectations from the movie, it failed to show its magic and has a rating of 3.7 on IMDb.

After playing in Confessional, Marcus starred in the coming-age high school-based movie The F**k-It List. The movie was basically about a high-school senior, who is involved in prank activities that realign his life. 

Getting out of his comfort zone, in the same year 2020, Marcus plays in a drama film, Farewell Amor, at the Sundance Film Festival. The drama was about the Angolan Immigrants to the United States. In this drama, Marcus Scribner played the role of DJ.

In the year 2021, Marcus was again seen in the voicing gig, where he previously used to be. This time Marcus Scribner voiced Alex, in the computer-animated science fiction comedy film, Ron’s Gone Wrong. The character he voiced was one of the close friends of the lead character.

The most recent movie in which Marcus starred is “Along for the ride” by Netflix. This movie was released on May 6, 2022, A.D. and Marcus Scribner played the role of Wallace, who is one of the supporting characters.
