The infamous New Jersey serial killer Richard Cottingham was pleaded guilty to the murder of two teenagers in 1974. One of the two was Deedeh Goodarzi, the biological mother of Jennifer Weiss.  

Richard Cottingham, also known as the Torso Killer, brutally murdered and decapitated two sex workers in a 42nd Street motel. Although the identity of one girl is yet to uncover, the other one was Deedeh Goodarzi. 

Then 22-year-old Deedeh worked as an Iranian High-class sex worker. Cottingham patiently chose marginalized sex workers and murdered them mercilessly.

There are no details about the parents of Deedeh Goodarzi. Even her body was identified by one of her friends.

Though the killer left no evidence in the spot, he left those girls’ clothing, including a pair of Bonjour jeans, white leotards, and a black fur coat, neatly folded in the bathtub.

The police then used those clothes on mannequins, hoping anybody to come up to identify them through what they wore. So, this is how Deedeh was identified.

Finally, on May 22, 1980, Cottingham was arrested red-handed when he was strangling his 18-year-old victim Leslie Ann O’Dell, in Hasbrouck Heights Quality Inn, where he had left his last mutilated victim.

Jennifer Weiss initiated a friendly relationship with the serial killer who killed her biological mother, Deedeh Goodarzi.

Their relation has turned to such a point that Jennifer now thinks Cottingham might be her biological father. Further, Richard has agreed to give a DNA Test. 

Jennifer first started meeting him in Prison to take his confession on killing her mother. But, she came to realize there is more to it. He is a serial killer with more than a hundred women’s blood in his hands.

Deedeh Goodarzi Family Explored

There are no details about her family except for her daughter Jennifer whom she abandoned. The daughter of the Iranian immigrant, Jennifer was raised by a loving adopted family.

Other than that, there are no details of Deedeh’s parents or husband.
