The Vikings put out an announcement Saturday early daytime saying, “We are totally grief stricken to report that incredible Minnesota Vikings lead trainer and Lobby of Famer Bud Award has spent away today at age 95. We, similar to all Vikings and NFL fans, are stunned and disheartened by this awful news.”
Award was a champion competitor for the Gophers. He played proficient ball for the Minneapolis Lakers, and furthermore in the NFL. Notwithstanding, he transformed the state as mentor of the Minnesota Vikings. He drove them to four Super Dishes in his 18 seasons and acquired a spot in the Ace Football Corridor of Notoriety.
Bud wedded Patricia Bellew in 1950 and they had six youngsters, Kathy, Laurie, Peter, Mike, Bruce, and Danny. Bellew died in 2009 with Parkinson’s illness at 81 years old.

Mike Award Their child Mike Award began training in 1979 at Minnetonka HS, then turned into the Timberland Lake lead trainer from 1981 to 1986 and 1989 to 1991. Mike has been the football lead trainer for Eden Grassland Secondary School in Eden Grassland, Minnesota beginning around 1992. Mike Award has trained Eden Grassland to 11 state titles since he started his residency at the school.
Bruce Award Bruce died on July 25, 2018, from cerebrum disease. He was 57 years of age. Award was determined to have Glioblastoma, which is a forceful type of cerebrum disease.
His niece, Gretch, composed the accompanying message on his passing: “I had the amazing chance to see him the previous evening. He was resting so calmly.
