Dashawn Parker, wounded in a shooting that killed his girlfriend who was celebrating her birthday at a Queens bar, faces a gun possession allegation.

DaShawn Parker, 27, was charged with gun possession on Friday and was ordered jailed on Rikers Island without bail.

On Monday, authorities said that a man was detained for firing his own firearm after a shooting outside a Queens nightclub that killed his girlfriend, an off-duty NYPD school safety agent celebrating her birthday.

Around 4 a.m., a shooting occurred in Astoria. According to CBS2’s Leah Mishkin, the location on Steinway Street near Astoria Boulevard was closed by police tape for hours.

Dashawn Parker NYC: Man Charged For Gun Possession

According to authorities, Dashawn Parker was arrested on Monday for different charges, including murder and gun possession.

According to authorities, Parker was recorded on camera exchanging rounds with the gunman outside Solletto on Steinway St. in Astoria early Thursday. Parker’s shots aren’t thought to have hit anyone.

When Parker exited the club with Mye Johnson, the shooter’s ex, and another lady, the shooter confronted him.

Johnson was killed while out celebrating her 27th birthday, while Parker and another lady with them were shot but survived.

Mye Johnson was shot & killed by her ex bf while celebrating her birthday with friends & her NEW bf. Two other people were also shot. But their injuries are non-lethal.

The gunman was eventually apprehended in New Jersey for a traffic violation but was released by police, who had no idea he was wanted for the murder at the time.

Dashawn’s lawyer did not respond to a request for comment on Monday. In addition, he is also being held on a parole warrant, according to records.

Parker was released in June 2019 after 18 months in state prison for grand larceny auto and forged instruments.

Mye Johnson Killed – Astoria, Queens Shooting Update

In a shooting outside a Queens club where all three were celebrating their birthdays, a 27-year-old off-duty school safety agent was killed, and two others were injured.

Around 4 a.m., it happened outside the Solletto Lounge on Steinway Street in Astoria.

Mye Johnson, the woman who died, reportedly shared a birthday with another woman who was shot on Wednesday. They were both 27 at the time.

The third victim, Johnson’s lover, Dashawn Parker, turned 27 on Thursday. 

Johnson was hit in the torso and leg, the other woman in the knee. Meanwhile, the male, Dashawn, was shot in the buttocks and arm.

Tragically enough, Johnson died as a result of her injuries after all three were brought to the hospital.
