Joshua Yaffa, the contributing writer of the New York Magazine does not yet have a Wikipedia profile. The American correspondent’s biography, on the other hand, can be found in a tabloid, like ours.

Joshua is working as a Moscow correspondent for the magazine. He started working in the magazine in 2013 and served as the New Yorker’s Moscow correspondent after 2016.

He is also known as the author of “Between Two Fires: Truth, Ambition, and Compromise in Putin’s Russia.”  The book discusses how Putin has attempted to redefine the pillars of his rule and legitimacy.

Furthermore, what this new era of Putinism means for ordinary Russians and Western governments.

Talking about his educational background, he earned a bachelor’s degree in foreign service from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.

Similarly, he joined journalism and international affairs at Columbia University for his master’s program. After his graduation, he worked as a visiting scholar at the Harriman Institute and taught at the journalism school for several years.

Prior to this magazine, he worked as a fellow at New America. He has also contributed to the Economist, New York Times, National Geographic, Bloomberg Businessweek, New Republic.

Yaffa has also served as an associate editor at Foreign Affairs.

Yaffa received a grant from the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting for his work in Russia. He was a finalist for the Livingston Award, the largest all-media general-reporting prize in American journalism.
