Yetunde Hawanya Tara Price, born on August 9, 1972, was the oldest half-sister of Venus and Serena Williams and their assistant.

Rolland Wormley was the boyfriend of Serena Williams’ half-sister Yetunde Price.

On April 30, 2003, they met at a surprise party in Compton given by mutual friends to honour his 28th birthday.

The pair started dating and quickly became severe. Finally, Yetunde, a registered nurse, proprietor of a beauty shop, and part-time assistant to her renowned sisters, invited Wormley to relocate into her Corona, California, home.

Yetunde Price, Rolland Wormley’s lover, was slain immediately beside him the night she was murdered.

Rolland never talks about how he desperately tried to save Venus and Serena Williams’ older sister, and he was with her in her final moments after the drive-by shooting in Los Angeles.

Serena Williams Half-Sister Fatal Killing

On the cold night of September 14, 2003, Price talked to her lover in her SUV outside what was later found a trap home in the Compton areas of Los Angeles County, California.

Two Southside Compton Crips street gang members protecting the residence opened fire on the SUV in a belief that they were defending the crack house from gangland foes, most likely the Lime Hood Piru, according to the prosecution at the later trial.

Price’s boyfriend rushed away in the car to a relative’s house, where he contacted 911, claiming later that he was ignorant that Price had been hit.

Shortly after arriving at the hospital, Price died of a bullet wound to the head.

During the murder trial, both the prosecutor and the defence agreed that Yetunde was an innocent victim passing through the neighbourhood.

Despite receiving financial assistance from her sisters, Price continued to live with her children in their ‘run-down’ area and work as a nurse, in addition to her personal-assistant responsibilities.

According to media sources, it saw her appear at Wimbledon in the year of her death.

Price was “determined to pay her way in the world,” according to sources. Price was the mother of three sons and daughters.
