A boy who should be attending school hiked 32 kilometers every day. The spiteful remarks of his community members were so toxic that he could not stay at one place for a long time.

Who Is Zanziman Ellie? Real-Life Mowgli

Zanziman Ellie is a 22-year-old boy. As a child, he was diagnosed with microcephaly. The condition caused his head to appear smaller than usual.

Almost immediately, his community shunned him. When he started school, his classmates ridiculed him for his outer appearance. The constant bullying from the villagers caused him to run insane distances to get some peace.

In the end, he got denied all forms of education in the community. When other children his age were having fun and studying, he was roaming the jungle with animals.

In February of last year, he got discovered by the crew of Aframax TV.

They decided to create a documentary on his life which gathered worldwide attention.

The funds generated from his documentary and GoFundMe page helped the young boy attend elite school for special needs children.

Last year, Ellie gathered worldwide fame when a documentary got made about his life. The constant bullying and inhumanity shown by his villagers angered audiences.

The moviemakers decided to set up a GOFundMe page for the young boy. The page was successful enough lead the family was able to lead a comfortable life.

Zanziman Ellie was born in 1999. So, he is 22 years old. Even though he grew in Rwanda, he was disliked by the community.

On the other hand, his mother loves him to bits, calling him her blessing.

In the documentary, his doting mother described him as her miracle.

Previously, she lost five children because of the harsh conditions.

She admitted that she and her husband prayed to God day and night for a child.
