As a result, the journalist died young, and the lack of a facility made it difficult for patients to get the proper care at the right time. The healthcare system was put under a lot of strain during the pandemic.
She was also able to raise money for her treatment while also assisting other cancer patients.

Amy was lobbying for cancer patients and the impact of Covid on the healthcare system while she struggled with her disease.
The journalist was concerned that when she died, her son would be homeless and orphaned. She was asking the authorities to allow them access to the healthcare system because the covid had made it impossible for many individuals to get good care.
