On March 22, 2022, Tuesday afternoon, the Louisiana State Police identified Jordon Shelton in a car wreck.

Soon she was taken to the hospital, where she took her last breath.

Who Was Jordan Shelton From SAU Tech?

Jordan Shelton was a student-athlete at SAU Tech. Shelton appeared to be in her early 20s at her death.

The deceased was a graduate of Homer High School. She lived in the Homer region of Louisiana during most of her teenage years.

Furthermore, Jordan was affiliated with Southern Arkansas University Tech (SAU-Tech). Moreover, she used to play with the SAU-Tech Rockets team, where she was dubbed the Lady Rocket by the coach, teammates, and the entire college faculty.

Besides sports, Shelton was equally potent in her studies and was well respected by her peers and college staff for her charming personality.

Jordon was number 12 on the 2021-2022 Lady Rockets Team, according to the school’s statement. She was awarded the NJCAA Region 2 Division 2 Conference title. Also, she was recognized as a two-time All-Region Player by the NJCAA.

In addition, Shelton was coached by Aramie Brooks. She was majoring in criminal justice and was close to graduation.

The college announced that it would present Jordon’s degree to her family at the College’s May graduation, and the Lady Rocket’s team will permanently retire the number 12 in her honor. Also, she will be inducted into the Rocket Hall of Fame.

Car Accident Linked To Jordan Shelton Death

It is reported that Jordon Shelton got into a car accident that took her life.

The car wreck happened just before 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, about six miles west of Homer and nine miles north of Minden.

Jordon was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro north on Louisiana Highway 534 near Union Grove Road. Sadly the car ran off the road, and she overcorrected.

As a result, the Chevrolet that she was driving traveled across LA 534, ran into a ditch then struck a tree.

Nothing much is known about Jordon Shelton’s obituary until now.

After the car accident, Jordon was taken to Claiborne Memorial Medical Center, the Homer hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

There was also a passenger whose name had not been released, taken to a local hospital to treat injuries. According to the Louisiana State Police, this other passenger is not in a life-threatening condition.

Furthermore, the authorities said that neither motorist was wearing a seatbelt. Also, impairment is not suspected of being a factor in this crash.
