Wisconsin Army vet dies fighting in Ukraine, family says

A US Armed force veteran from Wisconsin died battling in Ukraine last week, lamenting relatives reported for this present week.

Andrew Peters, 28, died Feb. 16 while battling close by the Worldwide Army of the Guard of Ukraine, the man’s dad told Wisconsin Public Radio in an email.

Peters is accepted to be the seventh American killed on the cutting edges in Ukraine since the Russian attack started a year prior.

An occupant of Marshfield, Peters signed up with the Military prior to graduating secondary school in 2012. He served a visit through Afghanistan in 2014 preceding waging war in Ukraine in November, WPR revealed.

“He felt his season of administration was not finished, and went to aid Ukraine where he joined different compatriots and legionnaires from everywhere the world to help with the protection of Ukraine,” John Peters, who additionally served in the Military during the Bay Conflict in 1991, told the radio broadcast.

Peters’ dad said his child was capable in a few dialects, including Ukrainian, Russian and French.

“Andrew had major areas of strength for an of what was good and bad,” Peters said. “He wanted to utilize his earlier military battle abilities to help the Ukrainian public battle and free their country. Andrew was very near his kindred soldiers and was popular with everybody. We are incredibly pleased with his dauntlessness and caring penance.”

The Worldwide Army was made by the Ukrainian Government in mid 2022 soon after Russia’s attack to enroll unfamiliar soldiers to assist with guarding the Eastern European country.

The family is at present working with the US Consulate in Kyiv to have Peters’ remaining parts returned.
