The American film and television actor Zahn McClarnon is known for his roles as Police Chief Mathias in the American modern Western crime drama television series Longmire, Hanzee Dent in the second season of Fargo, and Akecheta in the second season of American dystopian science fiction western television series Westworld.

After beginning his acting career in a local production of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Chanticleer Theater in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and also earning some local work in the early 1990s, McClarnon migrated to Los Angeles to pursue his career.

Following his role as Little Creek’s Friend in the 2002 American animated western film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, McClarnon played three episodes in Into the West as Running Fox in 2005.
