Mish Michaels is an American broadcast meteorologist, environmental reporter and author.
Michaels was born in 1969 in Kolkata, India.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and a master’s degree in Technology from Harvard University.
In her 20 years long career as a meteorologist, Mish worked for several network channels including WHDH-TV, WBZ-TV in Boston, NH, The Weather Channel, and WMUR-TV in Manchester.
She joined the WBZ-TV weather team in September 2001 and left in July 2009.
After leaving WBZ, she spent time writing books as well as raising her child.
In late 2010, she contributed to the book, Extreme New England Weather written by Josh Judge, with her story of a deadly microburst in Stratham, New Hampshire in 1991.
Mish Michaels was awarded a science journalism fellowship to study at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and won an Emmy amid her career.
Mish Michaels Obituary – Cause Of Death
According to her family in a Facebook post, Mish died on March 16, 2022, at the age of 53.
However, the cause of death was not disclosed.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Mish Michaels.
“Our family is devastated by her loss. She was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, auntie, friend and stellar equestrian, as well as an award-winning broadcast meteorologist and environmental reporter,”.
“Mish had the ability to brighten up every room she entered. Her professional success was monumental, but so was her commitment to helping others through her philanthropic work.
“We are asking that our family’s privacy be respected during this difficult time. Thank you for your love and support. Funeral arrangements will be announced,” the family added.

Mish Michaels was married to a man identified as Wes Atamian.
He completed Weston High School and later graduated from Cornell University.
Wes Atamian works at Home market Foods, Inc.
Mish Michaels and her husband Atamian had two children.
